Cars … we hates them!
Just when everything is going along nice and peachy, one of your belts starts to disintegrate … and since the ’98 Corolla seems to have two identical belts I expect the other to start disintegrating soon.
That’s the price I pay for having high-maintenance luxuries.

The battle was fought, and won in Halfords car park.
No blood, no tears, minimal swearing.
Now lets see if my home-installed drive/fan/whatever you call it these days belt will last 109,000 miles like the factory fitted one did …
